The Covid-19 catastrophe that hit India reflects the ages of neglecting its health system. The three-tier healthcare system in India established at the time of independence could cover the whole nation. It came with a primary care system at the village level, a secondary care system for smaller urban centres, and tertiary care for specialized treatment. But, as time progressed, the emphasis moved to profit-based tertiary care hospitals, mostly in big cities, with state-of-the-art that provided care primarily to the metropolitan rich. Whereas the poor and middle-class people are left with limited healthcare access and facilities.

The health infrastructure in India is underfunded, poorly staffed and falling apart. As a result, India’s public health system has taken a big hit from time to time. Unfortunately, Covid-19 has made the circumstances graver.

There are many challenges in meeting the healthcare goals in India, like:

  1. Inadequate knowledge and awareness concerning health and its importance in rural areas.
  2. Various underdeveloped areas even now lack proper healthcare facilities and centers.
  3. Private healthcare services are extremely expensive, whereas public healthcare is way more affordable but not reliable.
  4. Our medical research system is not advanced. We must focus on inventing medication for our tropical diseases that international researchers ignore.
  5. Shortage of medical resources in India as compared to our enormous population.

Recognizing all these challenges, the Humanity Welfare Council has taken up a well-organized initiative of the healthcare structure in India. Through Well India Program, HWC strives to provide every individual access to affordable and quality medical care by introducing a few revolutionary changes:

  1. Quality medical care for all at an affordable charge.
  2. Developing conventional infrastructural facilities like hospitals, dispensaries and diagnostic centres in rural regions.
  3. Creating awareness by conducting free health seminars.
  4. Free healthcare camps for regular check-ups and free distribution of medicines for needy people.
  5. Free ambulance service in case of emergency in underdeveloped sectors.

HWC is focused on establishing proper healthcare facilities across India. We want every individual to access quality medical care without fearing the extra costs.

We look forward to witnessing a healthy and disease-free India in the coming years.

We strive to spread awareness concerning healthy living in every Indian home.

We are working towards making healthcare facilities available to every Indian citizen at zero cost through our WELLINDIA Program.
